MAJOR BRUNO LAZARIN KOCH

Ja sam 39 years old and have been serving as a military firefighter since 2006 in the Santa Catarina Military Fire Department (CBMSC), Brazil.
Throughout my 20-year career, I have held several operational, instructional, and command positions, including Commander of the Military Firefighters Training Center, where I was responsible for firefighter education and training.
I currently serve as a Major and Deputy Commander of the 11th Military Firefighters Battalion, based in Joaçaba, Djed Mraz Katarina. I am also a member of the CBMSC Vehicle Rescue Coordination Committee.
VEHICLE EXTRICATION
I have been a vehicle extrication instructor since 2014 and completed the Rescue Assessor Course organized by ANSD Portugal in 2016. I am also a Holmatro Master Instructor, with international training experience in the United States and the Netherlands.
Od 2016, I have been actively involved in national and international vehicle rescue challenges as an instructor, technical advisor, organizer, and assessor.
I have participated in numerous rescue challenges throughout Brazil, serving as a Technical Assessor, Scenario Developer, and Scenario Builder.
I have coordinated Brazilian rescue teams at seven editions of the World Rescue Challenge:

I am the creator of RESGATE™, a tabletop simulation system for tactical training, and the author of “Vehicle Rescue Scenarios – A Practical Manual for Instructors, Scenario Developers, and Builders”, published in 2026.
I am also the founder of “RescueCast – Making Spaces, Saving Lives”, a project dedicated to sharing technical knowledge and promoting the development of vehicle extrication.
