The dates of World Rescue Challenge 2024 have changed from 24th to 28th September to 5th and 9th November. After assessing all the aspects, the World Rescue Organisation (WRO) and Associação Nacional de Salvamento e Desencarceramento (ANSD) have unanimously agreed to change the dates, considered that postponing the WRC would have more advantages than disadvantages for all the players involved (organisation, WRO members, sponsors, teams, etc.), particularly in terms of costs. Indeed, in November, the challenge will be out with the main tourist time, so that accommodation and travel will be cheaper. In addition, weather conditions are expected to be better at this time of year. This decision was taken by the joint WRO and ANSD WRC2024 Committee. We want to thank you for your understanding with regards to this change and we look forward to welcoming you to WRC2024 between the 5th and 9th November on Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal.
As datas do World Rescue Challenge 2024 foram alteradas de 24 a 28 de setembro para 5 e 9 de novembro. Depois de avaliar todos os aspectos, a Organização Mundial de Salvamento (WRO) e a Associação Nacional de Salvamento e Desencarceramento (ANSD) concordaram por unanimidade em alterar as datas, considerando que o adiamento do WRC teria mais vantagens do que desvantagens para todos os intervenientes (organização, membros da WRO, patrocinadores, equipas, etc.), nomeadamente em termos de custos. Com efeito, em novembro, o desafio estará fora da principal época turística, pelo que o alojamento e as viagens serão mais baratos. Além disso, prevê-se que as condições climatéricas sejam melhores nesta altura do ano. Esta decisão foi tomada pelo Comité conjunto da WRO e da ANSD WRC2024.
