About Us
The World Rescue Organisation (WRO) is dedicated to advancing rescue and medical techniques, practices, and procedures to effectively manage road traffic collisions and enhance trauma care in a pre-hospital environment. By disseminating this knowledge globally, we aim to save lives and significantly improve long-term outcomes for victims.
Drawing upon the expertise of our member organisations and partners, the WRO focuses on building and strengthening rescue and trauma practices, promoting the rescue challenge concept, and developing an ecosystem to share learning knowledge and expertise. These initiatives are designed to support rescue and medical teams operating in post-crash environments, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform efficiently and safely.
An executive Committee and the WRO Committee govern and manage the WRO, ensuring that our mission and activities align with the highest standards of excellence in rescue operations.
