Antonio Dragušica – Internal Assessor – Live Patient Coordinator, Croacia
My name is Antonio Dragušica, and it is a great pleasure for me to be your Internal Assessor for live patients at this year’s World Rescue Challenge. I was born on June 20, 1989, in Trilj, a small town near Split. Since my father is a professional firefighter in the Volunteer Fire Department of Trilj, my love for firefighting developed from an early age.
En 2014, I completed firefighting school and began working in the shipbuilding industry as a firefighter. Desde 2021, I have been employed with the Public Fire Department of Split, where I currently serve as a firefighter.
Desde 2022, I have been an active member of the Split Technical Rescue Team in the role of medic, and throughout my career, I have regularly pursued further training and attended numerous courses related to technical interventions.
I am a family man—happily married and the father of one daughter. My family is my greatest support and my daily motivation in the work I do. It is a great honor to be part of such a significant organization as the World Rescue Challenge and to contribute my knowledge and experience to its success.
Frane Relja – Assistant Live Patient Coordinator, Croacia
I was born on July 20, 1994, in Muć, Croacia, and my passion for helping others has shaped both my life and my career. My journey in emergency services began in 2012, when I joined as a volunteer firefighter in my hometown. Determined to grow in the profession, I completed firefighting school in 2020 and became a professional firefighter with Public Fire Department Split in 2021.
En 2022, I proudly joined the Split Tehnical Rescue Team as a Tool 2 operator, taking part in complex and high-risk rescue missions. In addition to my operational experience, I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering, which adds valuable technical skills and problem-solving capabilities to my work in rescue operations. Outside of my professional duties, I am a proud family man—happily married with three children—who finds balance and motivation through the love and support of my family. When I’m not on duty, I enjoy playing the drums, a passion that brings energy, rhythm, and creativity into my life. My dedication to both my home and my team reflects my belief that rescue work is not just a job—it is a calling.
I am excited to be part of the organisation of the World Rescue Challenge, an event that celebrates the skills, trabajo en equipo, and dedication of rescue professionals from around the globe.
